Colin Dymond
- Close-up Magician
- Comedy Ventriloquist
- Children's Entertainer
Unlike many magicians Colin didn’t start with a magic set when he was a child, he started by buying a magic set for his son and then started to nick things out of it thinking “that’s cool”
He was also a regular at the Monday Night Magic show in central London meeting great magicians from around the world. This really got his creative juices flowing. It was at this time that he became a full time House Husband so with a leaving gift from HMV of some professional magic props he started his career as a children’s entertainer.
As well as magic Colin is also a very talented Ventriloquist with a host of characters for all occasions.
His first magical ambition was realised when he passed his audition for The Magic Circle. Within the year he was asked to perform there at a special open evening of close up magic.
Colin has also been very active within local magic clubs winning trophies for both stage and close up magic. He has won the Cotswold Magical Society’s close up cup three times.
Colin has appeared on T.V as a magician, winning “Lucky Day” a talent show hosted by Ted Rodgers. He was specially chosen by the Discovery Channel to explain the science of ventriloquism.
Colin has studied with some of the great names in magic including Paul Daniels. He also completed his NLP practitioners training with Paul McKenna, that’s where Derren Brown learnt many of his techniques!
Colin has worked in some fantastic venues from the P&O flag ship Ventura and 5 star hotels to safari parks, stately homes and castles. He also loves working in a front room to a hand full of excited children.
Colin can still remember seeing a magician as a child and feels that it is his job to leave the children he entertains with some fantastic magical memories.
